Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, answered.

Everything about getting in, distributing, and using The Pulse.

Sneak Peek

Here's what your dashboard will look like.

Meet our dashboard — it’s still in the construction phase, but we’re getting there. This is what you can expect once your invitation link arrives.

Getting In

Why is StreamICan invite-only?

Growing by referral keeps the community small and the data meaningfully indie. Every artist here was vouched for by someone already using it.

I don't know anyone on StreamICan. What do I do?

Join the waitlist from the Contact page. We open new seats regularly and work through the list roughly in order.

How long is the waitlist, typically?

It varies with how many seats open that month. Referred artists skip the queue entirely, which is the fastest way in if you know someone.

Can I refer other artists once I’m in?

Yes. Every active artist gets referral invites to hand out, no limit beyond how many we release to you at a time.

What happens if my referrer is no longer active on StreamICan?

Nothing changes on your end. Your invite is yours once it’s issued, whether or not the person who sent it stays active.

Distribution

How fast will my music go live?

Most releases are reviewed within 48 hours. Individual stores then typically take one to seven days to make it live.

Do you take a cut of my streaming royalties?

No. On every plan that includes distribution, you keep 100% of what your music earns from streaming.

Which stores and platforms do you distribute to?

150+ stores and platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, TikTok, and the rest of the usual list, all from a single upload.

Can I distribute an existing catalog, not just new releases?

Yes. Bring your back catalog over whenever you’re ready, there’s no limit on how much you can upload.

Can I take a release down later?

Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Takedowns typically clear from stores within a few days.

The Pulse & Data

How is the Momentum Score calculated?

It blends stream velocity, playlist adds and drop-offs, and social engagement signal into a single 0 to 100 score, recalculated daily.

Where does the underlying data come from?

We aggregate publicly available and licensed data across 140+ sources, including major streaming platforms, social platforms, and radio monitoring services.

Can I use The Pulse without distributing through StreamICan?

Yes, Pulse Free tracks your existing catalog regardless of who distributes it, with a 90-day history window.

What is the Similar Artist Radar?

It surfaces established artists whose sound is closest to yours, and estimates which of their fans are most likely to discover you next, useful for playlist pitching and ad targeting.

Does The Pulse track radio airplay too?

Yes. We monitor spins across 64,000+ radio stations worldwide and fold that into your overall picture alongside streaming and social data.

How often is the data updated?

Momentum Score and streaming figures refresh daily. Playlist and radio data typically updates within 24 to 48 hours of a change.

Pricing & Billing

When does billing start?

Only once your invite arrives and you activate a paid plan. Waitlist and referral requests are free.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, at any time. Your new plan applies at your next renewal date.

Is there a free trial?

Pulse Free is free indefinitely for tracking your existing catalog. Distribution and the full Pulse suite start once you activate a paid plan, no trial required.

What happens to my music if I cancel?

Your existing releases stay live on stores. You’ll lose access to new uploads and full Pulse data until you resubscribe.

Payouts & Royalties

How do I get paid?

Royalties are paid out directly to the bank account or payment method you connect in your dashboard, on a monthly cycle.

Is there a minimum payout threshold?

Yes, $10. Anything below that rolls over automatically to the next payout cycle.

How long does it take for royalties to show up after a stream?

Most stores report earnings on a one to three month delay, which is standard across the industry. Your Earnings dashboard reflects the latest confirmed figures as they come in.

Data & Privacy

Is my streaming and earnings data kept private?

Yes. Your dashboard data is visible only to you. Nothing about your individual earnings or stream counts is shared publicly or with other artists.

Can I export my data?

Yes, streaming, earnings, and Pulse data can all be exported as CSV from your dashboard at any time.
